Identifying the types of relationships you are drawn to and the behaviors you exhibit and tolerate can indicate if you are in an emotionally unavailable relationship, are drawn to emotionally unavailable partners, or, believe it or not, emotionally unavailable yourself.

 Here are some common signs that might indicate a toxic relationship:


  • Lack of Support: You feel neglected or belittled.
  • Constant Stress: You often feel worried or stressed about your relationship.
  • Disrespect and Dismissiveness: You feel unimportant or undervalued. 
  • Dishonesty: There is a lack of honesty in the relationship, with frequent lying, hiding things, or deceitful behavior.
  • Blame and Guilt: You are often made to feel guilty for expressing your needs and desires.
  • Negative Communication: Most conversations are filled with sarcasm, criticism, or hostility.
  • Unresolved Conflicts: Disagreements and conflicts remain unresolved.
