Never have I found such peace

My experience with Mrs. Julie W; though it may not be typical of others experiences with her, it speaks to her resounding skills, caring, knowledge, personality and ability to adjust to any situation. 

I came to know Julie over some common ground we shared when working with one another. We started as co-workers discussing work issues, and realized we share a lot in our thinking process and logic to name a few. These days, I cant imagine a life without her as a friend. I don’t say that lightly either, she has been instrumental in seeing me through the hardest period of my life. 

To provide context, I recently and forcibly began the divorce process with my wife whom I considered my soulmate. We had three children in under three years. Id never been this successful and happy in my existence. And it all came to a head.

Despite knowing me a little over a year, Julie provided guidance and compassion, understanding and insight into my situation, my mind, my thoughts and behaviors. She approached my situation not as a problem to be solved, but as a life event to be understood, processed, grieved and eventually loved. 

Julie has sat on the phone with me countless hours at all times of the day and night, through my highest highs in this situation, to my lowest lows. She’s cheered me on when Im working on improving and when Im proud of myself. She gave me perspective, kept me in gratitude and reminded me that humility in this situation takes grace, and to be graceful is to find peace. She encourages me to process my emotions, showing me the serenity in doing so, while also explaining to my overtly logical brain why I was feeling how I was feeling. 

She also suggested insight into how the counterparties in my situation were potentially feeling. Julie has a way of thinking from all perspectives and being compassionate and understanding of the views of everyone involved. She’s able to place her mind and her heart in everyone’s shoes, and to be objective and non-biased. This lends to her ability to thus provide insights no one else was able to provide. The comfort that came from Julie’s understanding, intuitive insights and compassion was without measure. I honestly believe it got me through the darkest of this moment in life. 

Ive done a lot of therapy over the years, but never in my darkest of hours (and this has certainly been the darkest) never have I found such peace; and it wouldn’t have been possible without Julie.

 I have known Julie for many years and from the time I first was able to get to know her, I knew she had a gift for intuitiveness and for being able to ascertain the intricacies of human interactions and relationships. In the ten or so years now that I have known Julie, she is often the person I will come to when I am having difficulties navigating aspects of my personal and romantic relationships. She has consistently been able to help me look at underlying motivations that I may not have been cognizant of to help me understand why I may find myself in certain situations. Julie has never made me feel judged or ashamed of anything I have shared with her and that is a huge reason why I am always confident in disclosing things to her, even if I am ashamed of myself. Her innate compassionate nature and her comprehensive understanding of the human psyche allows Julie to be able to really be there for the people who reach out to her and to do so in a safe place free from criticism and shame.
